Alternatively you can turn up at the airfield on a weekend and wait in the queue to fly. Some days can be very busy, so to save you potentially sitting around for hours we highly recommend pre-booking your slot using the online booking system. If gliding is not for you, then what about someone you know? A trial lesson Gift Voucher makes an ideal presents for family and friends! Or what about a group event? During the summer we operate entire evenings for trial lesson groups with a maximum of 40 people. Visit our 'Group Evenings' page to learn more. Its a great way to spend a summer evening with your friends or colleagues! Due to atmospheric conditions the average flight times vary. A typical flight is usually about 10 minutes but you could be in the air for as much as half an hour. In that time you can soak up the stunning views across 'Salisbury Plain' see the Severn bridges, and the 'Westbury White Horse'.
	We provide trial lesson for all ages. You may be surprised how easy it is to fly. If you can ride a bike, then you can learn to fly a glider! You will go up with an experienced instructor in one of our three dual control Two-seat Gliders. Once you are airborne one of our fully trained instructors will offer you the controls, then away you go. If you really enjoy it, why not become a member and learn to fly solo? We are dedicated to training new pilots and get a buzz out of seeing you progress.
